Nate Diaz just defeated Conor McGregor at UFC 196, making himself a legend and a millionaire in one night of capably absorbing punches and successfully demonstrating his expert ground game.

But this dude and his brother Nick didn't come out of nowhere. Not even close. In fact, Nate Diaz has been fighting since his earliest days in the rough Northern Californian city of Stockton.

Here's some footage of him at 16 years old fighting an older guy who almost got the best of him... only to get beat by Diaz. Without spoiling how he did it, I'll leave you with the video below:
