Anthony Johnson came up short in his title fight, tapping out in the third round against Daniel Cormier. After his performance at the most recent UFC on Fox though, he might be getting another swing at the belt sooner than we thought.

He managed to flatten Ryan Bader in just 86 seconds, earning a Performance of the Night award in the process, and cementing his spot as the no.2 contender in the division (just under former champ Jon Jones). This means that Johnson is the next in line for a title shot, against the winner of Jones vs. Cormier later this year.
