Recently, we covered the fact that Jose Aldo refuses to fight anyone until he gets his rematch with Conor McGregor. Now, we have Dana White giving his opinion on why (or why not) that would happen.
Conor McGregor is scheduled to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the Lightweight title, which would make him the first person to hold the Featherweight and Lightweight belts at the same time. McGregor has no fight scheduled for after that, but if Aldo gets his wish, it would be against him.
Here's what White had to say in an interview with "Opie and Jim Norton":
“It’s one of those things; we made the fight the first time and he got hurt and had to pull out. Then we made it again, and it ended in 13 seconds. It’s tough to make that fight again right away. Plus, Conor wants to be a two-belt champion, so he wants to fight dos Anjos.”
Everyone wants to fight Conor McGregor...
“The problem is that’s what everyone from flyweight to heavyweight is saying now: they all want to fight Conor McGregor. He’s the money fight.”
What do you think?
