Recently, Floyd Mayweather made waves in the news after purchasing a tiger. He's also consistently managed to keep a pretty high profile throughout his illustrious and successful career. And now, although the fighter is in "retirement", Manny Pacquiao is saying, yet again, that he wants to end his career by fighting Mayweather.

But he's apparently got an axe to grind in relation to Ronda Rousey and Conor McGregor's rising fame and success under the UFC umbrella. There has long been a) beef between Ronda Rousey and Floyd Mayweather b) competition between boxing and MMA and c) Floyd Mayweather versus The World (or at least a good portion of it).

Here's what he had to say about what he thinks has been an unfair and 'racist' rise to fame for the two caucasian fighters.

He recently spoke to Fight Hype,

“But you look at things like this, Ronda Rousey, you know, I think she fought somewhere like 11 or 12 fights, which is not a bad thing. Laila Ali went undefeated and was dominating too. After Ronda Rousey fought I think 9, 10, 11 fights, it didn’t even take that long, she got all types of endorsements, movies, and everything. Laila Ali did the same thing in better fashion.
Ronda Rousey, she’s a good looking woman when she put it on. Laila Ali is a drop-dead gorgeous woman; I mean a naturally beautiful woman and can kick ass, but you never heard them [the media] saying when she had I think somewhere around 10, 11, 12 fights that she was the baddest woman to ever fight on the planet.
And what’s so crazy, I don’t really know the McGregor guy; never seen him fight. I heard his name actually from one of the runners that works for our company; a little kid named Ken Hopkins, he’s a runner and takes care of a lot of the daily business. Whatever we need, he takes care of. He’s a cool little kid, I like him, and he does MMA. He told me about the guy McGregor.
They say he talk a lot of trash and people praise him for it, but when I did it, they say I’m cocky and arrogant. So biased!
Like I said before, all I’m saying is this, I ain’t racist at all, but I’m telling you racism still exists.

In my mind, Floyd needs to chill. While there's probably a good amount of racial aspects to Conor McGregor and Rousey's likability, I think it's a relative cheap shot to try to put them down for it. And making it seem like he didn't get all the things he wanted just because he's black. He just sounds pretty bitter.

Floyd has plenty of money, is mostly disliked for reasons that were fully in his control, and hasn't done an amazing job to keep his image perfectly squeaky clean by any means. I'm more keen to hear what Laila Ali thinks about these comments, but I think she's a tad bit classier than Floyd and wouldn't pull the race card in a forum like this.

It's not constructive and actually hurts the civil rights cause for black athletes in the media. I hope people don't take this as what all black people think. Floyd isn't the voice of the people, really.

tl;dr Floyd Mayweather pulls race card, doesn't think Conor McGregor and Ronda Rousey should be more famous than him, is butthurt, and essentially stirs the pot for no reason.
