People love Dana White for being heavily involved in all aspects of the UFC and for working hard to make sure the fans are happy, the athletes are happy, and that the sport grows over time.
When it comes to one of the biggest recent UFC fights of all time (Holly Holm vs. Ronda Rousey), and the potential for a rematch, he had this to say about making sure they gave us fans what we're all itching for.
Here's what White had to say:
"If we didn't make the Holm/Rousey rematch, me and [UFC chairman] Lorenzo [Fertitta] would have to lose our promoter's license. That's next."
So, it's freaking confirmed. Let's go!
As well as White admitting he's going to have to start working on definitely getting that fight set up, it appears Ronda Rousey wants to get "off the grid" a little bit. Here's a statement she made to Rolling Stone prior to the fight with Holm.
"But after this fight, I'm definitely going to let some people miss me, for sure. Believe me, there's nothing I would like to do more than disappear for a while. I would like to wait until UFC 200 to fight again. I'm going to be filming [movies] in the meantime, so I'm still going to be keeping busy."
I wonder if her viewpoint has changed since this happened...
She's probably itching to get back to training and preparing for this rematch that we now know is almost certainly going to happen.
What do you think?
