Jahlil Okafor is an incredible basketball player, and by no means am I serious that he shouldn't be playing in the NBA. He deserves that opportunity. But footage just emerged of him throwing down outside of a bar in Boston, clearly pretty intoxicated - and it looks like he could do some damage in the ring... or the Octagon. We knew of the first fight, but this second one is much, much more brutal.
He was seen yelling "we got money" to a crowd of people he probably should've just ignored. I mean, even if he was being heckled, he's gotta learn to let that stuff slide. Here's the TMZ footage of the encounter that occurred in Boston just this past week, during Thanksgiving:
It sucks because he's 19 years old, and I remember being that age and feeling like I had to defend my honor, pride, and ego above everything else. However, in this case, it shouldn't matter. He's got to learn to let these things slide and realize that the people trying to put him down don't matter.
Also, here's the first (less brutal) fight for reference:
But, now that we know this happened and hopefully he's seeking help for getting past these anger issues... this takes "you should've seen the other guy" to the next level.
Take a look at the guy he knocked out (video at the top):
Apparently, he feels "hurt and embarrassed" and he's threatening with a lawsuit. I'm sure there will be some type of settlement. Yeah, that sounds about right.
Guy who talks shit to a professional athlete and angers him to the point of him getting his ass kicked now wants money from the athlete. That guy wins! Sorry Jahlil, you just fell for one of the oldest tricks in the book.
