Cena starts things out by mocking Corbin. He exits the ring and ends up at commentary desk with JBL, claiming that "this kid is shook" because of what happened on Tuesday. An angry Corbin chases Cena back into the ring and ends up in headlock. But it isn't long before the aggression comes out as the Lone Wolf begins stomping away on Cena. He then splashes him in the corner and roars at him, constantly striking him. John Cena fights back and whips Baron into the corner, but the Lone Wolf baseball slides to the outside and returns to the ring with an explosive clothesline. Yep, felt that one.

Corbin resumes control and begins working down on Cena, stomping on his hand as he trash talks to the crowd. But the veteran seizes the opportunity and fights back, however, as he tries to mount some offense, Corbin catches him in mid-air and slams him to the mat. And we resume the beatdown.

Cena fights out and we start the renowned "five moves of doom". But he misses the 5-Knuckle Shuffle, and Corbin baseball slides out again and returns in before grabbing Cena by the throat and hitting a Chokeslam onto his knee.

Corbin continues to get frustrated because he can't get a pinfall. He throws his shirt off and begins beating him down with more aggression than ever, receiving a warning from the referee. Cena fights back again, but Corbin baseball slides one more time. However, this time he runs straight into a clothesline from Cena. John sets him up and hits an AA.

Winner: John Cena.

Natalya kicks things off with a slap to the Champion as she drags her into the corner and viciously unloads. But Noami counters and the challenger backs off, running to the outside. She then goes out after Natalya and kicks her in the chest before springing off the ring onto her. Rolling her back into the ring, she attempts to kick Natalya over the rope, but the challenger grabs her leg and hangs it up on the rope.

Nattie then tosses Naomi into the ringpost. She rolls her back into the ring and wears her down with a Sleeper Hold before unloading with vicious kicks, followed by a Suplex. She continues to work her down, but she gets caught by a small package. The challenger quickly kicks out and resumes the beat-down.

Despite offense from the Champion, Natalya manages to maintain control, stretching Naomi as much as possible. Naomi fights out but Natalya silences her with a clothesline. Neidhart sets the Champion up on the top rope, but Naomi manages to counter, sending the both of them crashing to the mat below.

A slugfest ensues between the two, with Naomi winning out, thanks to her vicious strikes. She takes Natalya down but only gets a two-count. Naomi then hits Glow Time, giving her challenger countless kicks in the abdomen. But she's stopped when Natalya grabs her leg and sends her into a split before kicking her down for a near-fall.

Naomi fights back and hangs Natalya up over the ropes before launching herself, hitting her with a leg drop. A series of counters results in Natalya locking in the Sharpshooter but Naomi counters, sending her head-first into the turnbuckle. The champion ascends the ropes and looks for a split-legged Moonsault. But Natalya gets her knees up. She then locks in the Sharpshooter again, forcing Naomi to tap out.

Winner and NEW SmackDown Women's Champion: Natalya.

As both giants locks up, Big Show forces Big Cass into the corner, striking him with his left hand instead of his injured right. Enzo comments from above as Big Show tosses Cass around like a rag doll. The seven footer kicks Cass in the gut twice before whipping him into a sidewalk slam. But the impact hurts Big Show's injured hand.

Show resumes the beat down and hits a power slam. He then tries to climb up to the second rope, but he can't quite get up because of the injured hand. He misses the splash and hurts his hand again. Cass seizes the opportunity and hits the splash in the corner on Big Show. He looks for a boot, but Show counters and hits the Knockout Punch, injuring his hand again. Cass kicks out, and the commentators remind us that Show's bandage/injury may not have allowed him to get all of that KO.

Cass gets to his feet and begins targeting the injured hand, locking in an armbar. He taunts the crowd and resumes the armbar again, torquing the hand. Show gets to his feet and forces Cass into the corner. He finally breaks the hold and launches Cass across the ring. He looks for the Chokeslam but Cass breaks free. However, Show grabs Cass's throat with his left hand instead, and manages to hit a convincing Chokeslam. But he only gets a two-count.

Cass hangs Show's injured arm up on the ringpost and begins working on the Big Show. Above, Enzo strips down to his underwear before oiling himself up. He manages to slide out of the cage and slinks down into the ring. But he immediately eats a Big Boot from Cass, and so does Big Show. Show kicks out out, so Cass hits him with another one, before hitting the Empire Elbow.

Winner: Big Cass.

During Randy Orton's entrance, he is ambushed by Rusev, taken to the outside and then launched into the ringpost and the barricade. This is very like the Rusev of old.

Back in the ring, a shaky Orton advises the referee to ring the bell. Rusev charges, but Orton moves out of the way and the Bulgarian Brute runs straight into the turnbuckle. He then turns around, straight into a phenomenal RKO out of nowhere, from Orton, for the decisive win.

Winner: Randy Orton.

The two ladies lock up in the beginning with both unloading endless strikes upon the other, but Alexa Bliss comes out on top, hitting a wicked forearm to take Sasha Banks down. Bliss climbs to the top rope and hits a cross-body on Banks, who kicks out. She then grabs Banks's hair and unloads with a string of kicks. Sasha kicks back, but is overpowered by the Champion.

Bliss stands on Sasha's hair and unleashes her mean-streak as she rants when locking in a Sleeper Hold. The challenger tries to fight out but she's pulled back down to the mat. Bliss continues to trash talk during her assault. As she climbs to the top, Sasha catches her off-guard with a strike. But Bliss counters and sends her off the ropes. She then hits a double set of knees on her for a near-fall.

As Bliss locks in a chinlock, Sasha counters, throwing her across the ring. But the Champion again resumes control with a knock down. She roars at the referee during her assault of the challenger, and it costs her as The Boss fights back. She drags Bliss off the top rope to the mat and hits her with a knee to the face. Sasha manages to maintain the momentum and unloads with forearms and a dropkick for a near-fall.

Alexa manages to counter Sasha's attack and rams the challenger's face into her knee. But her screaming costs her as Sasha kicks her backwards. Banks throws Bliss into the turnbuckle and begins assaulting her in the corner. She then hits the Backstabber and tries to lock in the Banks Statement. But Alexa gets to the rope and escapes.

Outside the ring, Bliss yanks the apron out from underneath Sasha, sending her to the floor. She takes her back into the ring before launching her back outside. Sasha cries in pain as she cradles her shoulder. But she manages to get back in before the count of 10. Though, she ends up on the wrong end of another attack from Bliss.

The Champion launches herself off the rope with a Splash, but shockingly Sasha kicks out. Sasha locks in the Banks Statement but Bliss manages to fight out by targeting her shoulder. But Sasha locks it in again and this time, Bliss taps.

Winner and NEW RAW Women's Champion: Sasha Banks.

Bray Wyatt is a little wary of Balor in his Demon King persona, who is crawling around the ring. Wyatt hits him with a strike but it only angers the Demon, who begins unloading like there's no tomorrow on Bray. Outside the ring, he is taken down again by Balor.

But inside, they reach a stalemate as Balor rolls through and Wyatt does his signature back-stretch. However, Balor again regains control as he launches himself over the rope onto Wyatt. But outside, Wyatt manages to gain the control and unloads on Finn. He rolls him back in the ring and sits him up on the top rope, slapping him. He continues the punishment on the mat with a Sleeper Hold.

Balor tries to fight out but Wyatt sends him into the corner and splashes him. The Eater of Worlds looks for Sister Abigail but the Demon King fights out. Balor quickens the pace as he kicks Wyatt to the outside and baseball slides him. He follows that up with a sick kick to Bray's face. As Wyatt tries to get up, Finn stomps him on the back of the head.

Back in the ring, Wyatt looks for Sister Abigail again, but he finds himself on the wrong end of a Sling Blade instead. The Demon continues the attack on Wyatt in the corner, but he eats a boot, followed by a Urinage. After this, Wyatt hits the Splash and gets a near-fall. He smiles and claims that he "got him" but Balor counters an attack takes him down with an elbow to the neck.

Bray looks to escape but Balor chases him out and dropkicks him into the barricade. He tries to follow that up with another running dropkick in the ring, but eats a vicious clothesline. Wyatt goes to his back and arches up, doing his signature his Spider Walk. But to his shock, Balor supernaturally slinks up. Bray begs off but eats another Sling Blade. Finn then climbs to the top and hits the Coup De Grace for the win.

Winner: Finn Balor.

Sheamus and Cesaro Vs. Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins (WWE RAW Tag Team Championships)

Dean Ambrose and Cesaro kick things off, but Sheamus tags in immediately. He and Dean lock up and try to feel each other out. Rollins tags in as Ambrose hits a Suplex on Sheamus. They both hit elbows on the prone Sheamus. As Cesaro tags in, the Kingslayer is a little overwhelmed. However, Rollins manages to push things to his corner and Ambrose tags in. The former Shield members then double team Cesaro.

Sheamus and Cesaro regroup outside the ring before separating Rollins and Ambrose. Sheamus manages to hit the Lunatic Fringe with a Brogue Kick outside, and as Rollins attempts to fly onto them, they catch him and launch him across the ringside area. The Tag Team Champions are then firmly in control of the match.

Cesaro locks in a Sleeper on Seth Rollins in the ring. But Rollins fights out of the corner, taking out both of the Tag Champs. However, there's no one for him to tag as Ambrose is still down outside the ring. And Sheamus isolates Rollins further and works on him with chest-clobbers while Cesaro runs into the crowd to destroy a beach ball — getting a great reaction from the WWE Universe.

With multiple tags in and out, Sheamus and Cesaro firmly maintain control. But the Man finally fights out with a Pele Kick and just in time, Ambrose returns to the apron. But the Champions prevent Rollins from making the tag. Rollins dodges Cesaro and sends him to the outside. But outside the ring, he finds himself on the wrong end of a Cesaro/Sheamus double-team attack. But Dean climbs to the top rope and launches himself on all three men. He then rolls his partner back into the ring and begs Seth to make the tag. Despite opposition, Rollins finally manages to make the tag and in comes Ambrose.

The Lunatic Fringe takes out Cesaro with his signature clotheslines. As Sheamus gets back into the mix, so does Rollins. Upon clearing the ring, both Dean and Seth exchange a glance and we all know what's coming. The two men run against the ropes and hit a double Suicide Dive, just like old times.

Back in the ring, Ambrose and Cesaro exchange blows before Dean explodes back with the Lunatic Lariat. But as Sheamus tags in, he knocks Rollins off the apron, isolating Ambrose now. As Dean tries to take Sheamus off the top rope, Rollins hits the Celtic Warrior with a kick and tags himself in. Capitalizing off his partner's intervention, Ambrose manages to Superplex Sheamus from the top. Rollins then climbs to the top and follows it up with a Frog Splash.

The two former Shield members attack Sheamus like a pack of dogs and attempt to go for the patented Shield Powerbomb off the top rope. But Cesaro's reappearance makes them abandon that plan. Cesaro gets rid of Rollins and focuses on Dean. The Swiss Superman swings Ambrose before locking in the Sharpshooter. Outside, Sheamus takes out Rollins.

Back inside, both Cesaro and Sheamus continue to double-team Ambrose, but after a powerbomb-like Doomsday Device, Ambrose kicks out. As they take him down again with a double Dominator, Rollins just manages to make the save. But he's launched out of the ring again. Dean begs for more punishment and the two champions unload on him like there's no tomorrow.

But as Sheamus sets Ambrose up for White Noise, Rollins hurricanranas Cesaro off the top rope onto him, sending the Swiss Superman flying into his own partner. The Kingslayer takes out both men with a Superkick and Ambrose hits Dirty Deeds on Sheamus for the win.

The two men end up all over each other before the match even begins and Shane has to separate them. As Shane rings the bell, they resume attacking each other and quickly spill outside the ring, with AJ Styles kneeing Kevin Owens in the side of the face. But as he attempts to get back in the ring, he finds himself on the wrong end of stomps from Owens. However, Styles quickly turns the tide and takes down Owens with a kick. He follows that up with a backbreaker.

As Styles continues to dominate, he is suddenly hit in the throat by Owens. As the challenger attempts to follow it up, he eats a sick clothesline. But he brushes it off and regains control, trash talking the whole time. He sends Styles into the corner and hits him with the Cannonball for a near-fall. He follows that up with a running Senton.

Styles tries to fight back, but Owens overpowers him. The cocky challenger complains to Shane when Styles kicks out again. He then chops Styles continually, until the Champion is forced to slap him back. The two engage in a heated slap-war before Styles eventually lands a facebuster.

Styles looks for a moonsault but eats a Superkick. Owens tries to captilize with the Pop-Up Powerbomb but Styles counters again.

As Styles looks to climb the top rope, Owens pushes Shane into him, hanging him up on the ropes. But as he tries to capitalize, Styles hits a Sunset Flip Powerbomb. As Shane checks on Owens, Styles hits a 450 Splash, accidentally hitting Shane too. As Styles tries to check on him, he is attacked by Owens, who hits a Pop-up Powerbomb for a two-count. The unhappy Owens complains to Shane before returning to action.

Owens sends Styles into Shane, knocking the referee out of the ring. AJ amanges to lock in the Calve Crusher and Owens taps but there's no ref. As Shane comes back in, Styles complains and pushes him. Shane pushes back, and Styles is rolled up by Owens for a two-count. Styles is furious with Shane but returns to the action. He hits Owens with the Phenomenal Forearm and suplexes him into the turnbuckle.

Back on the ground, the two men exchange a series of shots before a series of counters which eventually ends with Styles hitting the Styles Clash for a two-count. He then looks for the Phenomenal Forearm but he misses and Owens hits the Pop-Up Powerbomb. While Shane counts the three, he soon realizes that Styles' foot was on the rope and negates the decision.

Owens is livid and gets in Shane's face. After trying to avoid the confrontation, Shane snaps and pushes back, sending Owens back into a roll-up from Styles. But Owens manages to escape only to eat a Phenomenal Forearm. Wanting the decisive win, Styles doesn't pin but instead, decides to follow it up with another Styles Clash for the phenomenal win.

Winner and STILL WWE U.S. Champion: AJ Styles.

Jinder Mahal kicks things off by initially getting the better of the opening lock-up. But it doesn't take long for Shinsuke Nakamura to outmanoeuvre him. Nakamura taunts him in order to get inside the Champion's head, and it works as he sends Mahal over the top rope.

An incensed Mahal makes his his way back into the ring and begins to work on Nakamura. But the Artist fires back with an assault of his own, sending Jinder out of the ring. But a distraction from the Singh brohers ensures that Mahal regains the control. Things then slow down as the WWE Champion wears down his opponent, applying a chinlock to Nakamura. As Nakamura tries to fight back, Mahal mocks him before returning to the chinlock position.

However, Nakamura springs to life and begins fighting back, immediately quickening the pace as he unleashes something that looks very like Daniel Bryans' "YES" Kicks on Mahal. But Jinder hoists him up, only to have his move countered into a Triangle Choke. The Champion makes it to the ropes and breaks the hold.

Shinsuke looks for the running knee, but only gets turnbuckle as Mahal moves out of the way. The Champion hits a running knee of his own and looks to finish things, but he runs straight into the ringpost. As Nakamura then looks to finish things, the Singh Brothers get involved. He disposes of them but turns straight into the Cobra Clutch Slam from Mahal.

Winner and STILL WWE Champion: Jinder Mahal.

Joe goes straight for Lesnar as Strowman goes right after Reigns. Lesnar hits Joe with a German Suplex as Reigns sends Strowman into the ringpost, and the two men on their feet lock eyes with each other. Before a confrontation can take place, The Beast suplexes Joe and Reigns, leaving him and Strowman to stare each other. The two monsters stare each other down as the WWE Universe goes crazy.

Strowman grabs Lesnar and launches him across the ring. He then splashes him and knocks him over the top rope. Reigns tries to do the same to him, but Strowman fires him away. But before the Monster Among Men can capitalize, he runs himself straight into the ringpost.

Outside the ring, Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch on Lesnar but moves out of the way just in time as Reigns Spears the Champion through the barricade. Joe then gives Roman the Urinage on the announce table before Strowman launches him over it. Braun then picks Brock up and gives him the Running Power Slam through the announce table.

As The Beast tries to get back to his feet, he is once again hoisted up by Strowman and slammed through another announce table. The audience goes crazy as the Monster Among Men picks the final announce table up and throws it onto Lesnar. The ringside area floods with officials who try to clear the debris and check on Lesnar. They put the Universal Champion on a stretcher as an emotional Heyman begs them not to.

The Beast is carted out on the stretcher and Strowman manhandles both Reigns and Joe, attacking them with Steel Steps. But Reigns gets hold of the steps and hits Strowman with them three times, knocking him out of the ring.

Samoa Joe tries to roll up Reigns but the Big Dog kicks out. They quickly exchange signature moves with Joe looking for the Urinage but Reigns counters. As he goes for a Spear, Joe locks in the Coquina Clutch. But out of nowhere, Strowman returns and hits a Double Chokeslam on both men.

Just like that, Lesnar returns and takes out Strowman with a Spear before attacking him with vicious strikes. He then hits the other two with German Suplexes. As Strowman returns, Lesnar locks in the Kimura Lock on the giant but Reigns breaks it up with a Superman Punch. The Big Dog then targets Lesnar with a Spear, but only gets a two-count. He looks for another one, but Samoa Joe comes up from behind and locks in the Coquina Clutch again. Strowman takes them both out with a double dropkick. He hits Joe with a Running Power Slam. But Lesnar pulls the referee out of the the ring before he can count the three.

Reigns hits a Superman Punch on Lesnar outside and Strowman on the inside. He looks for a Spear, but the Monster Among Men counters with a Power Slam. But again, the Beast breaks up the count, saving his championship. He then lifts Strowman up for an F5, but the giant slides down the back and looks for the Power Slam. But Reigns Spears Strowman in the process, breaking it up.

Joe throws Reigns out of the way and locks in the Coquina Clutch on Lesnar. But the Beast counters and hits an F5. Just before the three-count, Roman breaks it up. He stalks Lesnar and hits three Superman Punches, the third one finally taking the Champion off his feet. Reigns looks for the Spear but runs straight into a sudden F5.

Final Thoughts: I have to say that while SummerSlam wasn't perfect by any means, it was damn sure entertaining. Decisions like Cena's quick decisive win over Baron Corbin were ridiculous, and really dulled the opening. But thankfully, the sourness didn't last long as the night provided us with some standout moments, including Rollins and Ambrose's Tag Team Title win, and that bloody great main event!
