King Conor of House McGregor might be taking a trip to Westeros in the very near future.

According to a new report by the Northern Ireland publication Sunday Life, champion Conor McGregor is rumored to be in talks to appear on Game of Thrones. A source allegedly told the paper that "Notorious" would show up on HBO's hit series during one of its final two seasons.

The report (via Belfast Live), also claims that one of the show's directors is a "huge UFC fan" and "headhunted" McGregor, as he thought the MMA star would fit perfectly in the world of Game of Thrones.

Although it would be a giant move by the champ to land a role on the series, there's no official word yet as to whether McGregor is truly up for the gig, and a spokesperson for HBO declined to comment on the casting rumor when contacted by Champions.

However, McGregor's manager did reveal to to MMA Junkie's Chamatkar Sandhu that HBO has been circling the Irish fighter "for a while," there's just no official deal in place.

Considering that Game of Thrones films in Belfast and other locations around Northern Ireland, it wouldn't be too hard for McGregor to trek over to the set. Plus, he's already friends with a few of the show's stars, so he'd fit right in with the cast.

Last year, McGregor had a fun sparring session with actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, otherwise known as the hulking "Mountain." The UFC champ also recently appeared in the latest Call of Duty game with Game of Thrones star Kit Harrington.

If McGregor does end up appearing on the show, perhaps he can play an alternate timeline/older version of Joffrey.
