Can you believe it's only been four years since Cat Zingano defeated Miesha Tate to become the first mother in the promotion's history to be victorious in the Octagon?

Zingano defeated on April 13, 2013, at The Ultimate Fighter: Team Jones vs. Team Sonnen Finale via a third round TKO.

Tate would later become the bantamweight champion, as would Zingano's next opponent, Amanda Nunes. Zingano went on to fight three more times after her historic win over Tate but faltered on her last two bouts (including her bout with that would pit her on the losing end of the fastest submission in UFC championship history).

earned a performance of the night bonus for her debut bout.

To date, there are no mothers who have held a UFC title.
