UFC women's strawweight star, Paige VanZant will likely avoid hanging out with magician, Criss Angel from now on.
The 22-year-old fighter took part in Criss Angel's latest television show, which premieres on Oct. 12 on A&E Network. There, Angel performed a magic trick on VanZant, splitting her in half, complete with her guts and intestine hanging out, as seen on the commercial.
Unlike many of her fellow female fighters, VanZant has been on a television streak lately, participating in multiple shows such as Dancing with the Stars, LIVE with Kelly, and now Criss Angels' show.
VanZant, who trains out of Team Alpha Male in Sacramento, California, recently returned to MMA competition with a bang.
VanZant competed at UFC on FOX 21 in August, defeating Bec Rawlings with a brutal, second-round flying kick to the head that sent Rawlings stiff to the canvas. With that knockout, "12 Gauge" earned a $50,000 bonus for Performance of the Night, and also improved her professional MMA record to 7-2. She's also now 4-1 since joining the UFC roster in November, 2014.
The UFC has yet to book a fight for VanZant following her victory over Rawlings.
