Mackenzie Dern is the hot new ticket in MMA right now, and she is taking home win after win.
Watch as she battles Montana Stewart at Legacy Fighting Championship 61 this past weekend, and bear witness to one of the most entertaining submission victories in the sport's history.
Dern is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt who made her transition to MMA this past July when she faced Kenia Rosas at Legacy Fighting Championship 58. She shined in her pro debut, winning via unanimous decision.
Dern is ranked Number one in the female BJJ black belt division, according to the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation. She began training in the art at just three years old.
According to Dern's Instagram, this submission is the same one she used to win her IBJJF World Gi tournament.
Perhaps we'll see this rising star in the UFC someday soon.
