Mickey Gall had an impressive win against CM Punk at UFC 203. The New Jersey native secured his third, straight, first-round finish by rear-naked choke, and is turning into quite the prospect. No one could be happier for him than Punk himself.

Following the loss, Gall and Punk embraced with the latter clearly telling Gall something of significance. As part of their The Thrill and the Agony video from UFC 203, the organization has released what Punk had to say.

Punk's comments may be in reference to Gall saying that he felt that he did not belong on the poster for UFC 203. It was only his third professional fight and second in the UFC. He felt a bit uncomfortable that he was higher up on the card than some UFC stars.

"I know I shouldn't be, but I'm happy that I am, and I'm going to make the most of it. I'm fighting after Jimmie Rivera and Urijah Faber, it's crazy, you know what I mean," Gall said.

Punk, clearly impressed with Gall's quick work, continued to pour on the accolades.

Gall should be feeling confident after his quick dismantling of Punk, but he has still yet to be tested inside the Octagon. His two opponents in the UFC had a combined one pro fight heading in, and it's time for Mickey to face some serious competition. It may be the reason that he called out Sage Northcutt for his next fight. The battle for who is the better Looking for a Fight alum would be great to see.

Though Punk didn't win, he still had some wisdom to share with the young man that bested him. He had plenty of doubters along the way, as will Gall in the future. He made sure to tell him how to deal with the haters.

Punk didn't stop being inspirational there. He gave one of the best post-fight interviews following a loss the UFC has ever seen. He's a showman and he definitely proved that at UFC 203. The future is unclear for both of these fighters, but they do share this one wild adventure that neither will likely forget anytime soon.

The preview also follows the fallout from the heavyweight title fight between Stipe Miocic and Alistair Overeem and how both teams reacted to the result. You can see the full clip below.
