is a man of many talents. He's counted to infinity (twice). He's strangled people with cordless phones. He can even speak braille. But if you can believe it, the legendary Walker, Texas Ranger star has tasted defeat. Well, at least on one occasion (and we're not counting his silver screen death match with Bruce Lee).

In a clip from the 1966 grand championship finals of the famed Long Beach International Karate Championships, a much younger Norris can be seen going foot to foot and fist to fist with a real life black belt Texan, Allen Steen. Norris and Steen, a student of the "Father of American Taekwondo" Jhoon Rhee, got into a pretty intense match - for point sparring that is - set in an old school wrestling ring.

Although it's hard to tell from the grainy footage, Steen was actually victorious in his battle against Norris, who had previously won the middleweight crown earlier in the tournament. Perhaps the defeat is what made Norris become the flag-waving badass that he is today. Or maybe it was all those hours on a Total Gym. Guess we'll never know.
