We're nearly a month past the events of UFC 207, and people are still wondering what's next for Ronda Rousey. After her second lopsided defeat in a row, the boo birds are stronger, and very real questions about whether the great Ronda Rousey still has a place in the sport she once dominated.
To discuss this everlasting question, Miesha Tate, Daniel Cormie and Kenny Florian had a somewhat heated debate.
Here's what Cormier, Florian and Tate think Ronda should do in a highly summarized, digestible form:
Kenny Florian: Get confidence back. "Take the right fights." Whether this means a tune-up fight (whatever that means in that division) or simply a lesser challenger, Ronda needs to get back into the win column.
Daniel Cormier: Don't listen to Gina Carano, don't act. Fight. Hmmm. Harsh, but okay.
Miesha Tate: Take some time. Don't feel the pressure from outside influences. Do you really want to fight if you have other opportunities?
All three opinions make sense in their own way, but Miesha Tate hits the nail on the head when she says, "this is a dangerous sport if your heart's not in it."
She's absolutely correct, but who are we to say, or even assume Ronda's heart isn't "in it?" Time will tell.
