If you're wondering when will finally make the move to Hollywood, it's probably going to be a bit.

The Irish superstar revealed during his pay-per-view interview with Ariel Helwani that he was offered a role in the upcoming movie while filming commercials for the Pegasus World Cup Invitational horse racing event. However, the champ decided to turn down the part, as he didn't want to spend weeks filming the movie in Canada.

“During that three day course, the people from Predator who are having this new Predator movie, a blockbuster, they came in and tried to the sell the whole shit. 'We want you to be the main guy and you’re gonna fight Predator,' and I’m like, “This sounds brilliant! How much? Not enough." We went back and forth, we're negotiating and the number climbed up, and I was like, "If I was to do it, it would mean eight weeks in Toronto or somewhere. It's too long a time." You can't do a million things at once. The Pegasus thing was one thing, the horse racing thing was one thing because it was like three days, in and out... Seven, eight weeks on a film set is heavy as f--k, plus it would've crept in around the time of Diaz 2. I didn't want to get tricky with that, so I turned down that offer, same thing with the WWE and those situations."

Aside from booking a "Money" matchup against Floyd Mayweather Jr., McGregor added that he isn't trying to book any unnecessary gigs for his schedule, unless it adds to his legacy in the fight game.

"Look, I don't need nothing right now. I'm chilling," McGregor said. I'm trying to make something I want to make happen. I'm trying to make something I feel would be historic."

As for the Predator movie, Iron Man 3 director Shane Black is helming the project, which he insists is a sequel and not a reboot.

“Why start over, when you’ve all this rich mythology yet to mine?” he told Collider last year.

Set to hit theaters in 2018, the latest Predator film is set to star comedian Keegan-Michael Key, actress Olivia Munn, actor Thomas Jane, rapper 50 Cent, star Sterling K. Brown, actor Jacob Tremblay, and star Boyd Holbrook.
