The heel hook is a beautiful, painful thing. It's also something that you don't see successfully pulled off in professional MMA fights, let alone inside the Octagon. But, former #Bellator featherweight champion and Tachi Palace Fights bantamweight champ Joe Soto brilliantly made his opponent, Marco Beltrán, tap to the maneuver in the first round at #UFCMexico. It's definitely easier to use when you're not covered in sweat (but, let's not let that take anything away from what Soto just did).
Take a look and bask in its glory.
To put this into perspective, it's been almost two years since we last saw the heel hook in a UFC fight. Hello, old friend.
Josh Barnett would be oh so proud.
