#GegardMousasi is mad as Hell, and he's not going to take this anymore!
Hot on the heels of a redemptive win over Uriah Hall at UFC Belfast in November, the newly-crowned middleweight king of insults is once again on the warpath, lambasting his higher ups in the UFC, the rankings system, and basically any middleweight in the division.
In a new interview with FOX Sports, "The Dreamcatcher" first took aim at the (admittedly puzzling) booking of Anderson Silva and Derek Brunson, a fight that he had been trying to book for some time to no avail.
"I wanted to fight Anderson (Silva) and the UFC said ‘well you don’t have a big enough name’ but now he’s fighting Derek Brunson," said Mousasi.
Mousasi, who credits his brash new persona to the success of Donald Trump, did not stop there, trashing the injury prone, phone call-dodging members of the middleweight division's elite who are seemingly too afraid to step up and face him.
"Luke Rockhold is injured but I see him training all the time. Chris Weidman doesn’t pick up his phone. The UFC offered him that fight a couple of times. (Robert) Whittaker wants to go on holiday for seven months. I don’t know what he’s up to. I’m looking for a fight."
And we all know how he feels about middleweight champ Michael Bisping.
For the time being at least, it looks like Mousasi will have to keep spitting hot fire until the UFC is all but forced to match him with a viable contender. I believe it's a strategy known as "McGregoring."
