Renan Barao used his superior skill and experience to overpower Phillipe Nover, winning a unanimous decision at UFC Brasilia.

Barao, in his second fight as a featherweight after a long, successful run as the UFC bantamweight champion, fought a technical masterpiece, using combinations, spin kicks and wrestling to dominate Nover.

"I am very happy," Barao said after the fight, via translator. "I am really dedicated, training hard. I am only gonna be evolving."

Nover was able to take Barao's punches, but he was also second in the flurries. Barao set the pace for the fight, and Nover was never able to catch up.

Barao moves to 34-1-1, with the victory.

The judges scored the fight 29-28, 29-28 and 30-27.
