The MMA world went into a tailspin after Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone posted a video of a gruesome eye injury ahead of his #UFC206 bout. We reported that it was likely stage makeup due to him filming a Netflix series, but then he was photographed with a bandage over his eye well after the original post and everyone freaked out again.

Now, Cerrone is setting the record straight on what exactly is up with his eye.

In a UFC 206 Embedded episode, Cerrone is pictured sparring with Joe Schilling and his eye looks relatively unharmed. He goes further by walking up to the camera and saying, "How does my eye look? Any blood? Any movie blood coming out?"

So there... it WAS stage make-up! (Although it did appear he has a REAL black eye ironically).

Check out the "injury" that got everyones panties in a twist:

But don't worry, he will still be fighting in the co-main event this Saturday at UFC 206... no matter what. In case you forgot, he's fought injured before.
