Things are confusing. Specifically, Conor McGregor things. Mystic Mac has created such a boisterous universe filled with his own proclamations that they're becoming an ouroboros, eating themselves. At his black tie PPV interview, Conor McGregor said that he shouldn't have been stripped of the 145 title, and that he would've defended his belt in March (2017). All the UFC had to do was ask.

But, Conor also said after UFC 205 in November that he wanted shares in the company, and he was taking the next 10 months or so off. You can't say one thing then in retrospect say, "well, I woulda" a few month later. That makes no sense. And so, Conor McGregor is still the greatest champion to never defend a belt.

Here's what he said on Saturday:

All they had to do was ask. If they had actually came to me and said, ‘Conor, I know you’re prepared to have a baby, I know you’re chilling. If you want to fight for this featherweight belt in March,’ just a nice time, I would’ve went in and would’ve slapped Holloway or this guy he’s fighting, or Aldo, or whoever they wanted. No problem. All they had to do was ask. Instead, they created an interim belt. They gave back the unified belt to a guy I KO’d in 13 seconds. A guy I dominated is now the interim title (holder).

But... But...
