For Conor McGregor, it's him against the world. He's been screaming from Ireland all the way to New York about fighting Floyd Mayweather, but before that he's picked fights with the whole WWE locker room, Tyron Woodley, and most of the UFC's roster. Now it seems he's bit off more than he can chew, with mild-mannered Stan Verrett. In a new series of commercials for Netflix's Iron Fist, Verrett takes on the powers of the hero and challenges McGregor to a fight.

"I mean, he is a great guy. Look, this is a spoof and we had a lot of fun with it. He didn't take himself too seriously in terms of when we ended up calling off the fight because I'm Iron Fist. He played along with it and we had a lot of fun shooting it. He's got a great personality. He brings his crew with him and those guys from Ireland, man, they know how to have a good time, so it was a fun day of shooting." — ESPN co-anchor Stan Verrett via Fight Hype.

My, how the tables have turned! is now the pull-out merchant he has called so many others. It's also ironic that he wasn't the one being granted a glowing first of extreme power. This ad was fun, but the bigger picture here is something much more grand. Technically, McGregor has now entered into the Marvel universe, or at least worked with them. Don't be surprised if McGregor talks his way into one of these blockbuster superhero movies down the line.
