Bad news for Irish fans. #GunnarNelson has been pulled from the UFC Belfast main event.

Citing an undisclosed injury, Nelson withdrew from the card. In his place step a pair of middleweights looking for a re-match, as #GegardMousasi takes on #UriahHall.

The news of Nelson's removal from UFC Fight Night 99 was first reported to MMA Fighting's Ariel Helwani.

The change comes as a massive blow for Irish MMA fans who have adopted Nelson as one of their own. Nelson was scheduled to take on Dong Hyun Kim at the SSE arena on Nov. 19 in Belfast, with the hopes of breaking into the top 10 rankings.

The extent of Nelson's injury has yet to be revealed.

Mousasi and Hall last met 13 months ago, with the latter landing a spectacular flying-knee finish.

Mousasi, who is currently ranked fifth by the UFC, has won three-straight bouts, most recently earning a second-round TKO over Vitor Belfort at UFC 204. In contrast, Hall is currently on a two fight skid, most recently losing to Derek Brunson via a first-round TKO.
