It seems that #GegardMousasi has finally talked his way into a fight.
Having evened the score with Uriah Hall at UFC Belfast in November, the former Strikeforce and DREAM champion has taken aim at the UFC's middleweight division with a series of increasingly savage call-outs, trashing the recent pairing of Anderson Silva vs. Derek Brunson and raking pretty much every top 10 fighter over the coals in the process.
Also included on Mousasi's verbal hit list was none other than former middleweight champion Chris Weidman, who "The Dreamcatcher" claimed has been dodging his phone calls since at least December. Though not exactly a new method for procuring a fight, it's also one that apparently worked, as a fight between the two was just announced via UFC Europe's Twitter.
Weidman will be looking to bounce back from the first and only two-fight losing streak of his career, having lost the title to Luke Rockhold at UFC 194 before being sliced open by the knees of Yoel Romero at UFC 205 in November. Mousasi, on the other hand, is currently riding a four fight win streak and should be knocking on the door of a title shot with a win in Buffalo.
Though Weidman vs. Mousasi is the only bout that's currently been announced for UFC 210, it is not known whether or not it will serve as the card's main event.
