Marijuana is always a touchy topic in the world of MMA. Just a few measly nanograms of the plant in your blood stream six hours before a weigh-in, or six hours after your fight, and you could be banned for life. Well, they ended up giving Nick Diaz a lesser sentence, but it eventually led to Matt Riddle leaving the UFC to bro out in pro wrestling. Now that Anthony "Rumble" Johnson is away from the restrictions of his former employer, he's decided to go into the weed business.

“My friend Paul. He's in Canada. We’re opening up a facility, if you know what I mean, it’s for medical users. We gettin' it in that way. We got some good things going on. It’s already big. We're just waiting on that law to pass and then whenever it passes, we’re golden. We're playing our cards right, we are playing by the book, so that way there’s no issue. We're good to go, like I said, if you can find a job or anything that will help you grow and you make even more money without doing near as much as you were doing before? Then jump on board with something that is better." — Anthony Johnson on Booker T's Heated Conversation podcast.

That's a far throw from those ridiculous football rumors. While we could talk about cannabis and Rumble Johnson ad nauseam, what's even more interesting is Booker T wants to get him into the WWE ring. Johnson refused, and it's probably unlikely for a CTE opponent like him to suddenly start slamming himself on plywood, but he sure would make a lot of money.

...Anyone else find it ironic that Johnson announced his new weed business to a member of Harlem Heat? Maybe he could tag team with Rob Van Dam.
