History was made Saturday night when the UFC held the first ever MMA card at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

To top it off, there were three title fights and a new, dual weight champion!

Featherweight champion Conor McGregor defeated lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez to become the first ever UFC fighter to hold belts in two weight classes at the same time.

In addition, the Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson fight shocked the world when the five round bloody war ended in a majority draw. Woodley retained his title, while fans (and Thompson) called for an immediate rematch.

In addition to all the spectacular fights was a sobering statement from Miesha Tate, who announced her retirement following a loss to Raquel Pennington.
