UFC President Dana White promised UFC 205 would be historic, and he delivered.

According to White the UFC beat their Pay-Per-View record (from UFC 202) and their gate record.

Thanks, Conor!

White said the gate was $17.7 million, which is a new Madison Square Garden and UFC gate record. He did not disclose the amount for PPV buys, but says that it also broke a record.

Needless to say, he's pretty pleased with himself.

In addition to the dollars made, there was an attendance of over 20,000.

The fight card was stacked, and the bonuses prove it.

White awarded Tyron Woodley vs. Stephen Thompson as the Fight of the Night, and says he'd love to see a rematch.

For performance of the night the bonuses were given to Conor McGregor and Yoel Romero.

We'll never forget you, UFC 205.
