We're just a few days away from a potentially history-making fight at #UFC205, so everyone has to give their two cents on the million dollar man #ConorMcGregor. Will he continue on his path of destruction and "fulfill his destiny" as the first UFC fighter to hold two belts simultaneously? Will Eddie Alvarez fulfill his own destiny by finally being recognized as one of the greatest lightweight fighters in history?
It's all making for fantastic drama, so we took our camera and walked around Madison Square Garden, getting every fighter prediction we could for the main event.
It was shockingly one-sided. Nearly every fighter picked Eddie Alvarez to top McGregor:
- Jim Miller: Eddie
- Michael Johnson: Eddie
- Chris Weidman: Eddie
- Frankie Edgar: Eddie
- Khabib Nurmagomedov: Eddie
- Jeremy Stephens: Doesn't care (probably Eddie)
Just keep in mind that before UFC 202, 21 out of 22 pro fighters picked Nate Diaz to beat Conor McGregor. Maybe there's some serious schadenfreude going on behind the scenes, or maybe Conor keeps overcoming the holes in his game that fighters seem to notice.
In general, it seems like everyone is always picking against Conor.
So will he disappoint everyone yet again by beating up Eddie Alvarez?
