UFC lightweight champion is using a fan made heavy bag covered in a life sized image of his opponent UFC featherweight champion and the shade he and is team are throwing is classic.

The bag was presented to Alvarez during a team practice and his sparring partners couldn't help but heap insult after insult on potential two division champ.

"Nobody makes fun of this dude's stupid tattoos," a teammate said. "He's got the dumbest tattoos on his belly."

The video goes on to show Alvarez punching fake McGregor's face and then predicts that he and his three teammates will sweep at MSG.

He is of course referring to teammates Frankie Edgar, Chris Weidman and Katlyn Chookagian all of which are fighting on the historic New York card.

Edgar will face Jeremy Stephens on the Fox Sports 1 prelims, Chris Weidman will face Yoel Romero on the Pay-Per-View main card and Chookagian faces Liz Carmouche on the UFC Fight Pass prelims. View the times to watch each fight here.

This isn't the first time a fighter attached a photo of their opponent to a heavy bag, in fact, Daniel Cormier did it before his would be bout with Jon Jones (I don't wanna talk about it).

So while this might not be the most original training method, it's still pretty funny.

Alvarez will face McGregor this Saturday for live from Madison Square Garden. This will be Alvarez's first title defense, and McGregor's first fight as a UFC lightweight. If McGregor wins he will become the first ever simultaneous two divisional champ in the UFC's history.
