Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone's UFC 205 fight against Kelvin Gastelum has been cancelled due to weight issues on Gastelum's part, but could Jorge Masvidal be on his way to New York to try to salvage the bout?

According to a tweet sent out by Masvidal just hours after the news of the cancellation surfaced which shows him in an airport bathroom heading to New York City.

The caption reads, "Airport bathroom... LOL bad guy on his way."

But #CowboyCerrone seems to think that the New York Commission won't allow a last minute replacement.

Masvidal is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Ross Pearson at UFC 201 and is set to face Jake Ellenberger in Las Vegas, December 3, but promises he'll still fight then too.

Other fighters have offered to fill in last minute as well, but it looks as though the NYSAC may be sticking to their guns on this one.

It also appears they may have another fight card in mind for Cerrone. I guess only time will tell.
