Everyone watching knew that the Fight of the Night war between welterweight champ Tyron Woodley and Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson was close. It was a back and forth battle that saw Woodley drop Wonderboy multiple times, only for the karate fighter to storm back against the odds and change the tide of battle. In a night full of fun, historic fights and moments, this stood out. It was a #UFC205 miracle.

But when it took a surprisingly long time for Bruce Buffer to read the scores (after exiting the cage then coming back in then still needing more clarification from the judges and commission), hearts sank, and confusion reigned.

The fight was initially judged a split-decision win to Woodley, then, after a correction and a freaked out look from Woodley, the fight was ruled a majority draw. Woodley retained, but no one, except maybe Wonderboy, was happy.

Bruce Buffer spoke with TMZ to explain just what the heck happened in the middle of the Octagon at UFC 205:

"I will go ahead and share this responsibility, but at the same time, after I announced it, they called me back down again because they had me announce it of course the proper way which was a majority draw."

Poor Steve Harvey. He'll never live this down.
