With WrestleMania 33 fast approaching, it's a great time to reminisce on some of the best performers in Mania history.

Top 10 lists are always difficult, and choosing the best WrestleMania performer of all-time is truly splitting hairs, but it's a great way to gain perspective of the upcoming card and the showcased performers.

Here's our list of the Top 10 WrestleMania performers of all-time.

10. John Cena

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 12
  • WrestleMania Record: 9-3
  • Signature Matches: Triple H (WrestleMania 22), The Rock (WrestleMania 28), Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania 23)

John Cena's been the face of the WWE for over a decade and he's showing no signs of slowing down. Cena won't be in the main event picture for WrestleMania 33, but he has already proven enough to make our Top-10 list.

9. Edge

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 10
  • WrestleMania Record: 6-4
  • Signature Matches: MITB (WrestleMania 21), Chris Jericho (WrestleMania 26), TLC (WrestleMania X-Seven), Mick Foley (WrestleMania 22)

As both a solo wrestler and a tag team partner to Christian, Edge has put on several exciting WrestleMania matches. It's easy to overlook his performances due to his career being cut short, but there's no way to discredit what he did when giving his time to shine.

8. The Rock

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 11
  • WrestleMania Record: 6-5
  • Signature Matches: Steve Austin (WrestleMania X-Seven), Steve Austin (WrestleMania XIX), Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania X-8), John Cena (WrestleMania 28)

The Rock is one of the biggest stars in WWE history and many of his best feuds were settled at WrestleMania. From Rocky Maivia to "The most electrifying man in sports entertainment," the Rock always made his present felt at the biggest show of the year.

7. Triple H

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 20
  • WrestleMania Record: 9-11
  • Signature Matches: Chris Benoit & Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XX), Daniel Bryan (WrestleMania XXX), Undertaker (WrestleMania 27)

Triple H has been accused of injecting himself into one too many top level feuds, but it's hard to say that he doesn't deliver when the lights are brightest. Hunter's elaborate entrances have also become a must watch on WrestleMania weekends.

6. "Macho Man" Randy Savage

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 11
  • WrestleMania Record: 7-4
  • Signature Matches: Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania VII), Ric Flair (WrestleMania VIII), Ricky Steamboat (WrestleMania III), Hulk Hogan (WrestleMania V)

Regardless of playing the heel or the babyface, the "Macho Man" Randy Savage was a mainstay at many of the earliest WrestleManias. His feud with Flair, Hogan, and Ultimate Warrior are still considered some of the best WrestleMania builds.

5. Stone Cold Steve Austin

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 7
  • WrestleMania Record: 5-2
  • Signature Matches: Bret Hart (WrestleMania XIII), The Rock (WrestleMania X-Seven), Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XIV)

Despite only seven WrestleMania matches, Stone Cold Steve Austin has etched himself into the history of the event. His double turn with Bret Hart was not only a 5-star match, but arguably the best told story in WWE history.

4. Hulk Hogan

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 12
  • WrestleMania Record: 8-3-1
  • Signature Matches: Andre the Giant (WrestleMania III), "Macho Man" Randy Savage (WrestleMania V), Ultimate Warrior (WrestleMania V), The Rock (WrestleMania X-8)

Hulk Hogan proved that despite almost a decade away from WrestleMania, he was still able to bring excitement to the main event scene. Some of the company's best stepped in the ring with hogan and his record show that he often got the best of those exchanges.

3. Brett Hart

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 14
  • WrestleMania Record: 8-6
  • Signature Matches: Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XXII), Steve Austin (WrestleMania XXIII), Owen Hart (WrestleMania X)

"The Excellence of Execution" Brett Hart is a master of in-ring psychology and he continuously brought the best out of his opponents. WrestleMania was no different, his record is barely above .500 but there are few people that can find a bad WrestleMania match by "The Hitman."

2. The Undertaker

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 24
  • WrestleMania Record: 23-1
  • Signature Matches: Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XXVI), CM Punk (WrestleMania 29), Triple H (WrestleMania 28), Shawn Michaels (WrestleMania XXV), Brock Lesnar (WrestleMania XXX)

"The Streak" took over a mystique of its own at WrestleMania. The Undertaker's dominance lasted over 20 years before the winning streak came to an end at the hands of Brock Lesnar. That hasn't stopped Taker from continuing to put on great matches and further cementing himself in WrestleMania lure.

1. Shawn Michaels

  • WrestleMania Appearances: 17
  • WrestleMania Record: 6-11
  • Signature Matches: Bret Hart (WrestleMania XII), Razor Ramon (WrestleMania X), The Undertaker (WrestleMania XXV), The Undertaker (WrestleMania XXVI)

That only leaves one man to grab the #1 spot for WrestleMania performers. Shawn Michaels has been given the moniker of "Mr. WrestleMania, and for good reason. He's put on a show every time he's stepped into the ring and despite having a losing record, HBK has more iconic WrestleMania matches than anyone else.
