Action movie stud and Ultimate Beastmaster host Terry Crews finally got to live out his professional wrestling fantasy in Adam Sandler's upcoming comedy Sandy Wexler.
Crews chatted about his dream role during an interview with Conan O'Brien on Wednesday night. The actor revealed to the comedian that he plays a 90s pro wrestler who's managed by a bumbling but kindhearted talent agent, played by Sandler.
The Brooklyn Nine-Nine and Expendables star also admitted that he could've made a run through the #WWE in another life, so it was a blast getting into the ring during his preparation for Sandy Wexler.
"My career could've easily went into 18 years in the WWE," Crews said. "It's just weird because I kind of took the other route. This kind of fulfilled a huge fantasy of mine. I trained with WWE guys and got in the ring and the whole thing. It was literally a dream come true for me."
In addition to Crews and Sandler, Sandy Wexler also stars Jennifer Hudson, Rob Schneider, Kevin James, Carl Weathers, Judd Apatow, Chris Rock, and plenty of other big names. The film is set to make its Netflix debut on April 14.
