Peter Parker may not fight mixed martial arts, but his alter ego #SpiderMan made an appearance at the #EFCAfrica weigh ins in Cape Town.

On the eve of his EFC 55 title unification bout with Demarte Pena, interim bantamweight champion Irshaad Sayed donned a Spidey one piece as he took the scale. Complete with a spider crawl and cans of silly string to shoot at his opponent, Sayed seized the opportunity to treat South African MMA fans to a bit of humor on an otherwise tense weigh in day.

With Sayed and Pena both making the contracted weight of 61 kg (135 lbs.), their title fight is set for November 11.

This is not the first time a Marvel super hero has shown up at a weigh in. Back in October, Moldovan light heavyweight Ion Cutelaba arrived to the #UFCPortland weigh ins dressed as the #Hulk.

There's no word on whether #IronMan, #AntMan, and the entire #Avengers crew will make an appearance at the #UFC207: #RondayRousey vs. #AmandaNunes weigh ins.
