Strawweight champion, Joanna Jedrzejczyk is confirmed for her next title defense against Karolina Kowalkiewicz at the historic UFC 205 event.

The bout was first reported by FloCombat, and later confirmed by UFC officials per ESPN.

The bout will pit the two Polish fighters head-to-head in a trendsetting, all-European title fight inside the Octagon, at their debut event at Madison Square Garden.

According to ESPN they will appear on the main card, but will not be the highly anticipated main event.

Jedrzejczyk posted a photo of herself holding a contract with the translated caption, "Contract signed for the next battle! Stay tuned for the official info."

Both women are undefeated in their professional careers with the champion 12-0 to her challenger's 10-0.

Kowalkiewicz is coming off a recent, split decision win over Rose Namajunas at UFC 201. Jedrzejczyk is coming off a unanimous decision victory over Claudia Gadelha at the TUF 23 Finale.
