We were so close to perfection, but now the first (and hopefully last) piece of bad news before #UFC205 has hit us square in the gut — #RashadEvans has been pulled from his fight with #TimKennedy due to an issue with Evans' medicals.

Naturally, fans are bummed. This may not have been the highest profile fight, but damn if it wasn't important for Tim Kennedy's shot at the upper echelon of the middleweight division and Rashad's return to relevancy.

Here are a bunch of sad people:

This was set to be Evans' third fight in the last three years after suffering multiple knee injuries. For Kennedy, this was his first fight in two years after losing to Yoel Romero at UFC 178.

Everything about this is a bummer. Right now, it's speculation, but perhaps this had something to do with Evans and his first time cutting to middleweight.

One thing's for certain: Tim Kennedy won't be pleased. He's made this cut plenty of times, and every time he starves to get there.
