For the true grappling aficionados among us, there is perhaps no submission more oohed and aahed over than the Twister. Famously introduced into UFC folklore by "The Korean Zombie" Chan Sung Jung in 2011, the Twister is a gruesome, spine-contorting masterpiece of a technique pioneered by 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu founder Eddie Bravo which has only been pulled off on a handful of occassions in MMA history due to its incredible degree of difficulty.
Most recently, we saw ONE FC atomweight champion Angela Lee hit the sub, and at CSFC 17 over the weekend, English welterweight Ricardo "Bon Bon" Franco added his name to the technique's Wall of Fame during a bout with Steve Webster.
We know go live to hotel chain owner/MMA enthusiast William Madison for a reaction:
Thank you, William.
The impressive performance bumped Franco to the even 1-1 mark as a pro, and is sure to earn him some recognition from the Edgy Brah fans around the world. Know if only someone could execute an Electric Chair submission in the cage, then we'd really have some momentum to build off of....
