put in another dominant performance last Friday and defended his welterweight title for the first time against Agilan Thani with a first-round submission.

The champion never looked in trouble and it took only seconds for him to take his Malaysian challenger down to the mat and work his way into arm triangle choke to get the tap after just two minutes and 20-seconds.

While the fight itself lacked entertainment, Askren didn't disappoint with his post-fight interview where he proceeded to call out the ONE middleweight champion, Vitaly Bigdash. After letting the world know that the Russian had turned a fight down with him several times already, Askren proceeded to perform the chicken dance and further taunt the man as he strutted around the cage.

It was a comical moment, but one that the Russian didn't seem to find all that funny. In an exchange of messages with Bigdash earlier today, Champions.co asked for his thoughts. We got received a swift, sharp message from the non-English speaking Russian: "I kill Ben Askren."

Unfortunately, fans anticipating a champion vs. champion showdown may have to wait a little longer. Earlier today, ONE Championship announced that Bigdash already has a fight lined up next month at ONE: Light Of A Nation on June 30.

The unbeaten Russian will rematch the last man he defeated, . Bigdash beat Nsang at ONE: Quest For Power in January via unanimous decision. The Russian clearly won all five rounds of the fight, though Nsang did step up on just seven days to replace Polish fighter, Marcin Prachnio.

Speaking via press release, ONE Championship CEO Victor Cui implied the rematch had been booked because of the quality of the last fight.

"The first bout was an absolute showcase of incredible skill and unwavering determination, and the rematch promises nothing short of another classic," Cui said. "Yangon’s favourite son, Aung La N Sang, will get another crack at the ONE Middleweight World Championship held by Vitaly Bigdash. This time, it will be on his home turf. Fans will not want to miss all the action that goes down at ONE: Light Of A Nation this June."

No other fights have been announced for the card yet. With Bigdash now matched up, Askren's next opponent will likely be Swedish fighter Zebaztian Kadestam who defeated another of Askren's rivals, Luis Santos, last Friday.
