Despite being just 24-years-old, Odell Beckham Jr. is on top of the NFL. His on and off-the-field antics may get plenty of coverage from the media, but he backs it up by being the best player for the Giants (or any team on the field) nearly every time he plays. He sets the bar high, and even his teammates have said that his weird, attention-getting outbursts would be tired by now if he wasn't so good.
Now he's setting records once again, becoming the fastest player to 3,500 yards in NFL history.
An outspoken, brilliant athlete who backs up his talk... Sound familiar? That's because it is. Odell Beckham is getting inspiration from Conor McGregor, who the Giants receiver saw knock out #EddieAlvarez in Madison Square Garden last week at #UFC205.
"I set the bar high for myself. I kind of had some late inspiration," Beckham told ESPN. He sees Conor talk a big game, then utterly dominate.
While there aren't any mystical tweets from Beckham years ago claiming future world domination, there's no doubt athletes around the world respect McGregor's focus on the task at hand.
Now, about Beckham being a #NateDiaz fan...
