Nick Diaz hasn't fought since January 2015, but it looks like perhaps he may finally be returning to the UFC fold.

Diaz is controversial, to say the least, having been suspended for a failed USADA test following his fight with Anderson Silva at UFC 183. The substance, marijuana metabolites, wasn't performance enhancing, but was banned, and Diaz was given a five-year suspension and fined $165,000. The MMA community was in an uproar, and managed to put enough pressure on the Nevada State Athletic Commission that the suspension was reduced to 18 months and the fine reduced to $100,000.

Diaz has served his time, but as of a few weeks ago, still hadn't paid his fine.

His tweet seems to indicate that perhaps he finally has.

One would hope that Diaz is preparing for a rematch with Georges St-Pierre, who is rumored to be returning at UFC 207. I'm not going to get greedy, let's just get Diaz back in the running, and we can go from there.
