In the world of mixed martial arts, every knockout is truly its own, unique, unconsciousness-inducing snowflake. From time to time, however, we are gifted a KO that truly defies the odds, our expectations, or even the common laws of physics. That's what the 'Insane KO of the Day' is all about.
Today's KO: Andre Soukhamthath's "Sensational" Flying Knee
Flying knees are kind of like the fried Oreos of the MMA world, in that no matter how many times we think we've had our fill of them, we will almost certainly go back for another if offered, and will continue to stuff our fat, self-loathing faces with them until we literally rupture from the inside, spewing forth a fountain of our own indulgent excess before collapsing face first onto the mess we have created like the glutton from Seven...
Did that analogy get a little too deep for you guys? The point I was trying to make is that the #flyingknee will never get old, and Andre "The Asian Sensation" Soukhamthath's stunning finish of Kody Nordby in the fifth round of their bantamweight CES MMA title fight last March is no exception.
Even better? Soukhamthath will be making his UFC debut at #UFC209 this weekend, taking on fellow prospect Albert Morales in the evening's curtain-jerker. Will he be able to replicate his past success and deliver yet another highlight reel KO on Saturday? I'm not usually one to make predictions, but I'm going to say that he 100% will and you should all bet money on it as soon as you click off this article.
