In the world of combat sports, every knockout is truly its own, unique, unconsciousness-inducing snowflake. From time to time, however, we are gifted a KO that truly defies the odds, our expectations, or even the common laws of physics. That's what the 'Insane KO of the Day' is all about.
Today's KO: Brian Camozzi's Head Kick-Flying Knee Hybrid
The jury may still be out on whether or not fighting is truly in our DNA, but it's a saying that definitely holds true to the Camozzi brothers.
Seasoned MMA fans will probably know the name Chris Camozzi thanks to his seven year stint in the UFC, which has seen him trade hands with the likes of Ronaldo Souza, Joe Riggs, and Lorenz Larkin among others. But did you know that Camozzi has a younger brother, Brian, who's also really good at beating the bejeezus out of people?
Look no further than young Bri-Bri's blistering knockout of Ken Glenn from RFA if you don't believe me. After rocking Glenn repeatedly throughout the three round affair, Camozzi finished him off with a kind of head kick-#flyingknee hybrid strike to capture the RFA welterweight title, and wouldn't you know it, now he's fighting alongside his brother in the UFC! Talk about a feel good story with a happy ending, amiright?
I mean, unless you happen to be Ken Glenn, in which case this story probably felt anything but good and ended in you having yet to step back into the cage since.
