Yep, you heard that right. Chael Sonnen, the guy who just got tapped out by Tito Ortiz in around two minutes, will grapple against Garry Tonon. His previous opponent for Submission Underground 3 was Hector Lombard, the former Olympic judoka with the body of a superhero. You have to think Tonon got a much easier day at the office this Sunday when SUG3 goes down on FloGrappling.

I mean, we're talking about Danaher Death Squad, Garry Tonon. The guy who has three belts in three different divisions at the Eddie Bravo Invitational. Someone who played footsie with Rousimar freakin' Palhares for 20 mins at Polaris and came away with all his ACLs still solid and not ripped into some form of tendon jelly.

Either way, you have to hand it to for such a quick turnaround and stepping in to fill in that spot on the card. Matches like these are why Submission Underground made a huge impact in the sub-only competition game and quick.

Garry Tonon sure had a lot to say about his new opponent...

*record scratch*

Unfortunately it looks like this grappling bout may not happen after all. According to news just broke from MMAFighting, Bellator is pulling Chael Sonnen from the card. No other word at this time other than this comment:

Update: According to multiple sources, Bellator has pulled Chael Sonnen from the event. He will not be competing on Sunday after all.
