Mickey Gall vs. Sage Northcutt could be a loser-shaves-head type of fight. That's what Gall is suggesting.
The UFC welterweight, who recently defeated CM Punk via rear-naked choke at UFC 203, called out lightweight, Sage Northcutt for a fight in his post-fight interview, then took to Twitter to fire some serious shots at Northcutt.
The loser shaves their heads bet comes from Northcutt's comments on Monday's edition of The MMA Hour, where he was asked to respond to Gall's callout during his UFC 203 post-fight interview.
Northcutt responded, saying that Gall fights 'dads' with very little MMA training, and that he can knock Gall out, but it was the hair gel comment that triggered Mickey to fire back.
"He's [Gall] talking about my hair — he wants to punch the spikes out of my hair — and looking at that from his fights that I've seen and looking at his pictures, his hair kind of looks like mine," Northcutt said. "It just doesn't have the hair gel in it, it doesn't look like. I'm thinking that maybe he should get some hair gel and style it or something."
Both Gall and Northcutt currently have no scheduled bout, but both have shown interest in fighting each other.
Northcutt last competed in July, at UFC 200, where he defeated Enrique Marin via unanimous decision. The 20-year-old is 8-1 as a professional fighter, with his lone career loss being to Bryan Barberena at UFC on FOX 18 in January. Northcutt is currently recovering from a staph infection, but says he could be ready to fight in December.
