World famous Brazilian jiu-jitsu ace-turned professional MMA fighter, Mackenzie Dern, hopes to continue her unblemished MMA career when she makes her third cage appearance — this time for Legacy Fighting Alliance. Dern will face Katherine Roy (1-0) with hopes of extending her 2-0 record.
Dern already has two wins under the LFC banner, which has since merged with RFA to become LFA. She has a jiu-jitsu resume worthy of someone three times her age including being named the top female black belt in the world. Oh, and she's only 23-years-old.
She defeated last opponent via a first round submission, but missed weight ahead of the bout leaving fans to question if she is ready for the grueling MMA weight cut.
She was also seen recently training with UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo, so perhaps we will see a different Dern this time around.
The Texas card will take place March 10 for LFA 6 where featherweights Rivaldo Junior (15-6-2), will face “The Judge” Ray Rodriguez (11-4) in the main event.
Do you think Dern can win a fight on her feet? Or will she rely heavily on her ground game?
