UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley wasn't the only one confused at the end of his first title defense last year — most of the MMA world was too. The incredibly close title bout between T-Wood and Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson ended in an rare majority draw.
Because of this, Woodley retained his belt (despite not being the winner or loser of the fight) forcing immediate rematch calls from pretty much anyone with a brain.
For once, the UFC obliged. And they didn't wait 10 years to make the fight happen. The rematch will take place at UFC 209 (the same night that the UFC lightweight interim title is awarded to either Khabib Nurmagomedov or Tony Ferguson).
When a fight is that close there's bound to be strong opinions from fans of both parties (I, for one, thought Thompson should have won).
