British featherweight has his eyes set on a return to the UFC, but one man in Europe who feels he can derail his plans is the current featherweight champion.

Speaking exclusively to Champions.co last week, KSW champion Marcin "The Polish Zombie" Wrzosek spoke about the possibility of facing some of the UK’s top featherweight talent. While dishing out praise in the direction of ’ fighters and Nad Narimani, the Polish Zombie wasn’t so complimentary of Loughnane.

“Well done to Nad, he had a tough customer in front of him in Paddy Pimblett who’s a very underrated guy,” Wrzosek said. “I see a lot of hate coming at him [Pimblett], but I really like his style. I think he’s a very funny guy and I’d love to face him, Nad Narimani or Brendan Loughnane—the ‘princess’ of the British scene.”

Wrzosek branded Loughnane the "princess" of UK MMA following an exchange over social media a few weeks ago. Loughnane is currently a free agent and is riding high off the back of four wins and can’t be too far away from a recall to the UFC.

With another big win likely required to get that UFC recall, he Wrzosek warned that Loughnane better not come looking for it in KSW.

“Of course [I would fight him], I’d stop his dreams of going back to the UFC,” Wrzosek said. “I saw he posted something on Facebook that he thinks he’s not far away from getting re-signed with the UFC. I’m pretty sure that if he comes down here, to Poland, and tries to beat me up in my own home, that ain’t going to happen. I’m never going to let that happen—I’m going to stop his run to the UFC.”

Before any talk of a potential Loughnane vs. Wrzosek fight can take place, ‘The Polish Zombie’ must first defend his title at KSW 39 next month when he faces Kleber Koike Erbst at KSW’s record breaking event in Poland’s national stadium in Warsaw.

Should Wrzosek overcome Erbst, a showdown between the two former The Ultimate Fighter competitors would be the biggest fight in Europe at 145-pounds outside of the UFC. Paddy Pimblett’s current free agency status also provides another interesting possibility, but he most likely he re-signs for Cage Warriors while under Intensiti Fight Management, the fight to be made in Europe looks to be Loughnane vs. Wrzosek.

While this feud simmers, it’s all eyes on to see if ‘The Polish Zombie’ can get the job done against Erbst.
