Kickboxer John Wayne Parr just made a stunning Bellator Kickboxing debut tonight, and proved that joining the Bellator family just might have been the right decision. Parr signed with the promotion back in October, but made his first appearance at Bellator Kickboxing 5.

Parr faced Nandi Calzetta where he landed the perfectly timed headkick KO to achieve his 45th career knockout. The KO came with just :01 left on the clock in the second round.

"He was tough, he came to fight," parr said after the fight. "He wanted to mix and trade but I was more than happy to do that with the hands. I thought I was a little bit sharper, but he had a crack – he had a good go and hopefully it was entertaining for the crowd. Before this fight I really wanted to do something impressive and get an impressive finish so to score a head kick knockout is like a slam dunk. I feel like Michael Jordan right now. I’ve been watching Bellator and I just want to be a star here and hopefully tonight is gonna put that notch in my belt and help me fulfill that dream."
