The world lost a comedy great on Wednesday when news broke that Charlie Murphy had passed away at the age of 57 after losing his battle with leukemia.

Comedian and commentator honored the late comic this week by sharing an amazing photo of Murphy during a meal with veterans Maurice Smith and Ivan Salaverry. According to Rogan, the Chappelle's Show star and brother of actor Eddie Murphy gave the fighters an impromptu striking lesson by teaching them the virtues of the "Chicago ridge hand strike."

"Charlie Murphy holding court circa 2007," Rogan wrote in the post. "Charlie was explaining to UFC fighters Maurice Smith and Ivan Salaverry the benefits of the 'Chicago ridge hand strike.'"

In addition to the behind the scenes photo, Rogan paid respect to Murphy with another touching Instagram post, recalling his time on tour with the late comedian.

I loved this man. I had the pleasure of going on a tour with him 10 years ago and we had an amazing time. He was one of he best story tellers that has ever lived, and I'll miss him dearly.
