John 'The White Mike Tyson' Phillips has hilariously been campaigning on Twitter for a UFC debut against fellow countryman #JackMarshman. The Welsh middleweight is currently on a seven-fight win streak, most recently coming off a successful debut at UFC Belfast beating Magnus Cedenblad via TKO in the second round, something Phillips aims to stop in spectacular style.

Instead of toasting the celebration of his Welsh companion, John Phillips had other plans. Congratulating him over Twitter, the #SBGIreland teammate wasted no time in calling out Marshman.

Claiming to be the best middleweight in Wales, John Phillips arguably has the stats to back the claim up. Currently on a four-fight win streak, the heavy-hitter is a former BAMMA middleweight champion with an incredible twenty first round knockout wins to his record.

Aiming for a spot on the UFC London card, Phillips has posted a slew of images and videos to social media over the past week while patiently waiting on a call from the UFC.

The thirty-one-year-old even took his phone on a day out with him, just in case the UFC called. Whether it be fishing or a day at the arcade, Phillips is ready and waiting to answer.

It looks like John Phillips has been taking some lessons from teammate #ConorMcGregor on utilizing social media to help set up a fight. With his knockout power and reputation for finishing opponents inside the first round, it looks like the UFC can't avoid him for much longer. Factor in the success of both Welsh fighters at UFC Belfast, signing Phillips for a showdown with Jack Marshman seems like good business.

With his consistent social media presence, it didn't take long until Jack Marshman took notice and replied.

Although agreeing to the bout over Twitter, Phillips has since alleged that Marshman was given the contract but didn't sign, per an anonymous source.

Will we see these two heavy-handed strikers go at it and make Welsh MMA history at UFC London?

We'll just have to wait and see. Maybe the UFC will finally pick up the phone and give John Phillips that long awaited call.
