Two fights at UFC Fight Night London were scrapped just hours before the assigned fighters were set to enter the Octagon due to not being medically cleared to compete. One of those bouts, Ian Entwistle vs. Brett Johns, even ended with Entwistle retiring.

Details about exactly what went down to force the removal of the bout are slow to be revealed, but according to an official statement from the UFC, it was due to the health of Entwistle, who visited a London hospital shortly before the bout.

"Following a trip to the hospital earlier in the day, bantamweight contender Ian Entwistle has been removed from tonight's scheduled bout against Brett Johns per doctors recommendations."

Entwistle alludes to a weight cut issue, which is becoming more common in the UFC this year. The co-main event for UFC 209 was scrapped after Khabib Nurmagomedov was treated for problems stemming from a severe weight cut.

Tom Breese vs. Oluwale Bamgbose was also cancelled last minute due to "medical reasons," although the details surrounding that bout have yet to be released.
